Le vendredi 27 janvier 2012, le professeur Richard McNally de l'Université de Harvard animera un séminaire scientifique intitulée :
"Trauma, Resilience, Complicated Grief, and “Smartphone” Treatment of Anxiety"
La conférence aura lieu au Socrate 43 (Faculté de Psychologie, Louvain-la-Neuve) de 10 h à 11 h 45.
Résumé :
In my presentation, I will present findings from several recent studies designed to identify resilience variables that may protect against the development of posttraumatic stress disorder and complicated grief among people exposed to military trauma, childhood sexual abuse, and the recent death of a spouse. We examined cognitive (intelligence, working memory, repressor coping style) and biological (genotypic) factors. Finally, I will conclude by presenting data from an attentional bias modification study where we used “smartphones” to deliver the intervention to people with elevated anxiety.

Un nouveau groupe "exposition" pour anxieux sociaux débutera début 2012. Ce groupe s'adresse à des personnes souffrant d'anxiété sociale et ayant déjà suivi une thérapie cognitivo-comportementale en individuel.
